Having had Volvo Amazons for years I decided to buy a more competent rally car. Fell in love with Rapiers and their rally heritage. This one has a long rally history and is fitted with all the goddies you are likely to need. Uprated with later 1725 Holbay engine and twin Webers, LSD, twin fuel pumps, twin coils, hydraulic handbrake, plumbed in extinguisher etc. Recent re-fettling includes sevice, new starter, battery, clutch master and slave cylinders, work to brakes and steering. Comes with 2 full sets of Minilite style alloys with excellent tyres plus 2 spares. My only issue - and this is a big admission - is that it's too hard core for me. I live right on the RAC Wales Rally stages and I've taken it up there to throw some gravel around but for a 70 year old it's just too fast. For that reason, I've decides to admit that I should be in something more sedate.
