Descrição
One of the first DS built for the UK market in Paris in early 1966. All the owners are known and documented including its screen debut in a film called Diamond Skulls! In 1979 it had an DY2 engine fitted from a DS20, slightly more power. Probably the donor car was a Pallas as later seats and some trim are fitted. I bought it as a running car requiring some attention, after the head gasket blew the engine and hydraulics were overhauled by Citroen Classics in Staines, now using later fluid. Some 6, 000 miles later she caught fire causing considerable damage to the engine compartment, broke the new windscreen and the dashboard top wilted under the heat.
The car has many good parts to help with another car or could be restored as the main structure is sound, good wings and doors, there is some rot but easily repairable. The interior is scruffy but I have a full set of seat covers and material to recover the door cards plus other spares. Electronic ignition and a stainless exhaust are fitted.
This is a 'proper' DS with hydraulic powered gear change and clutch. Detailed history and bills all available including current V5 and past MOT etc. I am open to offers, viewing welcome.
Note that the first four photos are of the car before the fire, the rest are current.
