1954 Chevy Station Wagon For Sale
12v conversion and running a small block Chevy 283 mated to a TH350 auto box and still on column change to which I've fitted the correct indicator.
Front is on dropped spindles and the rear is on lowering blocks and air bags. Rear axle is from an Oldsmobile Cutlass.
I first saw the car in Las Vegas and imported it in 2019 as I loved the overall look of the wagon and you just don't see these over here that often.
Nicely presented engine bay which is a good contrast to the patina on the body and my intention had been to put a really nice interior in too. However I've bought another car so this one needs to go.
Customer painted steering wheel and dash with a modern stereo hidden in the glovebox. Most of the interior metal trim has also been re-sprayed and finished nicely but there is no headliner and the seats need re-doing as can be seen in the pictures, but they are all complete. A new headliner is included in the sale.
Running, driving & stopping although the brakes are still drums all round and are a bit soft. Transmission pan has a slight leak.
Body and underside all solid apart from the lower tailgate as can be seen in the pics. Front floor pans have been replaced at some stage in the US.
No wipers connected but a Newport Engineering electric motor kit is included in the sale and the wipers / cables are on the car. I bought and fitted the correct speedo cable for this gearbox but have not yet connected to the speedo - may get done before a sale if I get the time.
Rear bumper wraparounds are an expensive accessory these days.
Location - Colchester, Essex
Price - £19k ono
No part exchanges thanks as I need the space having already bought another car.
