This is a solid car which has been well maintained and well restored over its history. It is not a show car but everything is genuine and presentable so it could be used as is or it could be taken to the next level. Most recently, under Brian Gue at Amazonia, the front and rear suspension was rebuilt using powder coated parts, new chassis legs and outriggers plus refurbished brakes, fuel lines and general recommissioning. Just prior to that in 2020 was completed a full paint job with several new panels and inner wings. There are no obvious signs of rust.
It is mostly as originally supplied but has a sports exhaust and an overdrive gearbox which was professionally inspected and tested before fitting in 2021.
From the quite extensive history since 2000 it looks like the mileage at just under 114, 000 could be genuine and it starts, runs and drives beautifully.
I have not fitted yet any carpets and the front seats are a bit tatty in places but it’s a nice original feel in the cabin. There is some soundproofing.
I’ve owned this as my only classic since retirement in 2015 and it’s been dry stored or used sparingly between the various works. I’m not using it as much as I should and would prefer to pass it on so I have aimed to price it competitively.
I have the chrome roof trim ( plus spare) and 122S badges to include.
