Lotus Elise S1 1999
Full and extensive history (2inches thick of paperwork!).
Only 2 previous owners.
Quite a well know car in Lotus circles. Actual car featured in Top Gear and driven by Hammond.
Just been fully serviced and had gear cables replaced – it drives fabulously and changes gears with perfect precision.
12 months MoT.
Clean interior with unworn seat bolsters.
Performance race exhaust and ungraded suspension (S2 spec.).
Great hood (although let’s be honest, they all leak, even when they were new!).
HPI clear and not been stuffed on the road or track!
109K miles, meticulously maintained and head gasket upgraded.
Bad bits:
Crack in windscreen (not in MoT failure zone). Its been there for a couple of years and not spread any further.
Front clam has the usual Elise stone chips and some paint osmosis. Been quoted £500 to sort this, but it doesn’t bother me as I just get in and enjoy driving it! Its a car to drive not sit in the garage!!!
Speedo is temperamental – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I use my phone for GPS and speed anyway, so never bothered getting a replacement speed sensor (£30 for Elisespares).
I’m not interested in any part-exchanges as loss of storage space is the genuine reason for sale.

Please do not waste my time or yours with silly offers - the price is firm. This is already an extremely cheap price for an S1 Elise that has massive history, low owners and hasn’t been thrashed or trashed! I challenge anyone to find one with better history and as well sorted as this for anywhere near this money!HUGE history folder 2 inches thick!
This Elise has been driven, not stuck in a garage! Don't let the mileage put you off as its been meticulously serviced and looked after!
