Description
This right-hand drive Jaguar was sold new in Ayr Scotland in 1948. Sometime in the 2000s, Daniel Setford bought this Jaguar to keep as a private object. Setford and Company is a company that builds and refurbishes racing cars in England. The current owner had a dream of owning a Rolls Royce at some point in his life, but then he saw this Jaguar online and contacted Daniel Setford and expressed his interest. He also sent a recognized English surveyor named Brian Page to look at the car. That protocol comes with the car, see link: - details above. It was a deal and the Jaguar was imported to Sweden. The Jaguar is inspected and approved until 2099. Actions carried out by the current owner include refurbishment of the windscreen wiper motor, replacement and conversion to an alternating current generator instead of a direct current generator, installation of H4 lamps that fit in the original holders in the headlights without affecting them. On delivery this car had 'dipping' headlights that dip to the left. This is towards oncoming traffic here in Sweden, but this can of course be restored. The car has also been fitted with two new Hardi fuel pumps. Documentation accompanies the Jaguar and from this it appears that it has been serviced and received new parts regularly.
