Description
1965 Triumph TR4a - finished in Conifer green, with contrasting red trim.
This car comes complete with receipts for well over £30k on top of the purchase price. It is a no rust example that has been extremely well looked after and is very reliable. As you will see it is a bit of a ‘Trigger’s Broom’ with what has been replaced / upgraded. The car is an original California car so the starting point was rust free and remains that way.
Engine was built by TRGB to fast road specification with reworked head, fast road cam etc. It then had twin 45 webers fitted and an aluminum air box to feed these with cold air. It has a programmable distributor which was set up on the rolling road. Full stainless exhaust, bigger radiator, recent alternator.
The gearbox is by Peter Cox and updated where necessary to cope with the extra power. It has an updated clutch, diff and also is fitted with CV driveshafts. Braking is via spaced original calipers with vented disks on aluminum hubs and original drums to the rear. All suspension is polybushed with adjustable dampers all round.
The interior has the stitched leather covering on the dashboard, Four point harnesses, the hood was new earlier this year.
All fluids were replaced earlier this year including the diff oil and at the same time new front pads were installed.
It sits on minilite style alloys with all new Tyres.
There is lots more add on’s that I have probably forgotten!
All the chrome is excellent, the arches have always been annually cleaned and re-Bilt Hambered Dynax S-50 , underneath is all painted in the body colour and the chassis is gloss black and perfect underneath.
I have owned the car now for around three years but bought it from a friend who owned it for previous 8 years. Any inspection welcome, I can lift into axle stands so the underside can be fully inspected.
