Been standing on my drive for 2 years+, starts, moves, stops if you press the brake pedal twice (needs bleeding after burst brake pipe was replaced) loads of new stuff fitted Inc luminition electronic ignition, quality dissy cap, rotor & leads, rear shocks (all 4), burlen mod spec ethanol safe stay up carb floats, recent tyres all round, halogen headlamps & most bulbs now led. Lots more done by previous owner. Needs some welding (worst bits are rear bottom edge of off side front wing/ front of sill/ footwell & closing panel behind front bumper) and a full recommission. Can't afford to run it, can't afford to do it up. Will miss it though. Badge bar & front spots removed since photos taken, £3, 500 - no offers, bring money and a trailer (not interested in part exchange or swaps). Now sold. Most 420s were exported & only 1 in 10 had the manual gearbox with overdrive. They only made 10, 000 worldwide, for only 2 years. Less than 300 now on dvla's books, so now a rare sight, Often overlooked & underated, drives much more nicely than a MK11. Most parts are obtainable & are a mix of MK11 & XJ6.
