I've owned this car for approximately 1 year and have covered around 8, 000 miles in it during that time. I'm really upset that I have to sell it but another child on the way means I need something bigger. It's served my family great during the last year and will be sorely missed.
I've owned a number of AMG, M and RS cars and this may just be the best all round performance car I have experienced. The combination of power, practicality and rareness means it ticked just about every box for me.
During the last 12 months I've carried out some significant (very expensive and common) repairs including brand new Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers to replace the highly problematic DRC system (parts and labour in excess of £2, 000), a new genuine Bosch Starter Motor + earth cable (common on cars over 100k miles) which is an engine out job (£££!), brand new discs and pads all round (Zimmerman and Ferrodo DS2500) costing around £2, 000, new Oil Level Sensor (again pretty common and front end off job!). I've spent well over £6, 000 on it in the last 6 months! I didn't plan to sell the car but circumstances won't be the same come mid-October.
The previous owners have covered the other 2 expensive and common faults including the coolant pipes and oil seals (receipts present).
All the common/ expensive work has been carried out so hopefully the next owner won't have any significant expenses for a good few years! Be aware buying similar cars which haven't had the above work done is risky as I have found out! Spending £5-10k on repairs isn't difficult at all with these cars.
I've also had some bodywork done to address a bit of paint damage from over the years and the front windows have been tinted very lightly to match the rears a little better.
Overall the car is in amazing condition for a vehicle that is around 15 years old now!
The tyres are in good condition and I had 2 new Pirelli PZeros fitted around 500 miles ago (front are Pilot Sports and still have life in them). The alloy wheels are in good condition but the front ones have the odd kerb mark (2 rears are completely unmarked).
The car starts first time, every time and drives great through all the gears. The performance for something so big really is mind blowing and I will definitely be sad to see it go. Turbos etc work flawlessly. Car never overheats and gear changes are smooth as anything.
A very rare colour and all the common issues resolved. A great buy for someone wanting one of these cars without the risk of massive repair bills!
There are a couple of very minor issues to mention -
There is a small bit of damage to the rear seats where a previous owner had forced the isofix in incorrectly. I never got round to resolving it because it was always covered with my baby seats. I have had interior work done in the past so I know it won't be expensive to fix.
There are no warning lights on the dash and the air con, cruise control, electrics etc all work.

I've tried to be as fair and realistic as possible with the price for a quick sale (i'm in no rush as I don't need to sell the car until October and it is being used daily). Considering the work done in the last 6 months I think £17, 995 is a very good deal but I will consider sensible offers.
Please note the private plate, bike carriers and roof bars are not included (these can be negotiated separately if needed).
