Owned by the family since 2016 to restore to concours standard, but nothing has happened and it has just manly been sat in the garage.
It is UK registered and was MOT'ed (the annual vehicle road-worthy test in the UK) in 2020 and participated in one classic car event at that time, but has not been used since.
As you can see from the photos it is remarkably rust free and it retains its original engine, so a matching numbers car.
I took it out the garage and started it about a week ago in preparation for advertising, It tarted from cold and had good oil pressure and no smoke from the exhaust and I can share the video clip of this. I also drove it up and down the driveway and the gearbox was sweet as anything.
In the photos shown (taken last week when the engine was started), the rear of the car is only jacked up to enable photos of the underside to be taken, to confirm the lack of rust. BUT it does need work to finish off and this is being sold , as is, as a project!
There are just a handful of SS cars for sale at the moment, unlike 5 years ago when there would normally be many for sale at any one time. So they are getting harder and harder to find. And it is very rare to find an SS without any major rust issues, which hasn't already been restored.
A house sale and move abroad means that it needs to be sold and hence the very competitive asking price. At £65k this is about half what most of the restored SS are selling for - and often they are not very well restored either!
I would prefer for prospective buyers to view the car in person, but I am also happy to show it on a video call, and share the video of the engine being started last week, etc. I am happy to oversee shipping from the UK if it goes abroad / to the EU. But all shipping costs will be for the buyers account.
