Description
This Mk1 1600 GT Cortina has had 5 previous owners, and is a genuine GT, as can be varified by its chassis number. My ownership started on 20/ 10/ 2022. Not much in the way of service history, as paperwork being lost before my ownership. However, this car had extensive recommissioning in February 2022, undergoing a complete respray and mechanical refurbishment. Bodywork and paintwork can be described as near perfect. Recent work carried out by myself include replacing front bottom ball joints; complete overhaul of carburetor; new oil and filter, new air filter. The underside of this car looks as good as the top, and, as can be seen has a stainless steel exhaust, copper brake pipes and new petrol tank. It has a current MOT until 18/ 08/ 2024 without any advisory's. I purchased this vehicle from Craner Classic Cars, a reputable classic car dealer. I bought this vehicle because it stands out. When purchased it was all red, but I decided it needed the famous Lotus stripe to enhance its appearance, and I think the colours work well. Giving it a stunning appearance, which you have to agree with. The car drives beatifully and keeps up with modern day traffic and importantly, stops very well indeed. The new owner will enjoy this driving experience of a car that is going to increase in value and put a smile on your face everytime you drive it. Everyone who sees it has nothing but possitive comments about it.
