Description

Highly original 1929 Ford racing car. This car was raced throughout the 1930s and 40s across the east coast of America. The car was designed and constructed by Pop Dreyer, believed for the Marchese Brothers and raced by Rajo Jack. It remains in its original paint including original sign writing and racing numbers. The engine is complete and has had a significant amount of machine work carried out by Belcher Engineering Ltd in the UK and just requires final assembly. The engine has been converted to run on a fully pressurised oil lubrication system, including, drilled and balanced crankshaft, shell bearings, front and rear neoprene oil seal housings and a new high volume oil pump. A new high lift camshaft, aluminium cam gear, new pistons and piston rings, full gasket sets, twin Stromberg large logo 45s and the original George Riley log manifold etc., are also included. What makes the engine even more special is the period 4 port George Riley Racing overhead valve, cylinder head. These heads are very rare. A new stainless steel exhaust and leather seat completes the car. The car is very original and very complete. As well as looking fantastic it will prove very fast should the new owner wish to take it vintage racing or hill climbing.
