1987 Jaguar XJS 5. 3 V12 HE in very good condition throughout. 76, 000 miles. Owned for the last 3 years and due to not getting much use recently it has to go sadly. Has a current MOT and lots of recent receipts and old MOTs. Car has service history. From what we gather it was from Trinity Motors in Hinkley and in the same family up to 2019. Comes with 2 keys, original booklet and full Jaguar toolkit including the full size spare.
Finished in the lovely Bordeaux Red. Exterior is in near concours condition. Full paintwork detail by myself and ceramic wax makes the car shine like new, retaining the original pin strips. The chrome work is nearly perfect. 4 starfish alloys have been refurbished and have Pirelli tyres. Underside and arches in excellent shape with no rust.
Interior is lovely and original and overall in great shape. Headlining was redone just before purchased. The seats have a small amount of cracking on both front seats which adds nice original patina. Wood in good condition and has a period correct stereo. Carpets are in new condition and door cards in superb condition as well.
It runs and drives well. Revs right up the range and the sound from the V12 is lovely through the brand new stainless exhaust system. The fuel pipes have been renewed including the injector pipes. Full coolant flush, all new pipes and 2 genuine thermostats installed keeping the car very cool indeed. New fuel sender, new power steering pipes and gearbox mount bush. The 3 speed gearbox is very good order with fresh fluid. 2 new front springs with new steering link bars, Brembo discs and pads installed too. Steering is very tight and controlled. Air conditioning was working when purchased with a new compressor but due to a leaking valve on top, it stopped working. Just needs re-gassed. We really want this car to be cherished and loved in the right hands.
