Fully rebuild 240Z owned by the same family since +30 years ! 28000 kms since engine rebuild and 3000 km since full body off restoration;
-December 1992: My dad purchased the car from Los Angeles dealer Raymond Milo aka Le Patron in Los Angeles. The Z is imported to Belgium, the engine is fully rebuild by a Nissan dealer using only Nissan parts. (oversized pistons) the body shows no rust (the was sold new and spent most of its life in Arizona) . My dad decided to respray in Giallo Fly Yellow instead of its original 919 Sunshine Yellow. When the car is finished, he barely drives it.
-1996 : I get my driving license and I start to drive from time to time, I even travel with it, went to the very first LeMans Classic with it in 2002.
-2005 to 2012 the car is stored in a dry place in Brussels as I moved to Canada.
-2013 : I moved back to Belgium and the Z see the light after 7 years of storage. A Brussels garage replaced all the fluids and the original 4 speed gearbox is replaced by a 5 speed (from a 280zx). The diff gets the 3. 7 gearings instead of 3. 364.
-2020; I became the new official owner. (my dads got my TVR in exchange)
-2021 : I decide to have the car fully restored by a marque specialist in Eastern Europe (detailed invoice available) and resprayed it in its original 919 Sunshine Yellow (the rarest color, only made in 1970 and until august 1971. The Z is totally dismantled, every nut, every single bolt. The body shows some rust in the dogleg area, the rusty metal is cut out and new panels are installed. The body is totally sandblasted and no other rust is found. All parts showing wear are replaced (all bushings, all rubbers) The Z gets new seats, new brakes calipers, new brake shoes. The interior is improved, the dash show no cracks. The electricity is also totally checked, relays are installed for headlights (a must have) and the turn signal switch and headlights switch are rebuild by a US specialist. New carpets and new seatbelts are installed.
In September 2022, I drive the car across Europe, 2600 km in 5 days . 100% reliable.
-October 2022; the brake booster is rebuild.
-January 2023 : very rare Campagnola Ragno wheels are sourced in Japan, new retro tyres are installed Yokohoma Advan A008 type D. (14 inches)
-June 2023: car is serviced and the carburetors (3X 40 DCOE ) are serviced and tuned, the Z is then inspected by the very strict belgian car inspection (contrôle technique) and gets a 5 years valid MOT.
