Description
This is your opportunity to own some of our Fourways history. Here we have our very own Fourways demo car. A 1969 Datsun 240z Australian import. This is said to be one of the earliest 240z in the country. This car has attended numerous shows and events over the years of our ownership, including Goodwood and various hill climb sprints. The main motive for this build was to be a competitive rally car but unfortunately it never got to attend any serious competitive events.
Geoff Jackson the founder of Fourways Engineering imported this car into the country back in early 2000. Being an Australian shell meant it was an excellent base to start building from. The car was stripped to a shell, soda blasted and seam welded. It then went on to be strengthened and gusseted as well as having a full safety devices roll cage fitted. It was then primed and painted in the silver you see before you.
This 240z has a 2. 9L L28 engine fitted. It has a modified head which has been ported and polished as well as a modified cam and big valves paired with competition springs. A 6-branch manifold with 45 DCOE weber carburettors and a Nismo style exhaust custom made by Zero exhaust. It has a close ratio gearbox built by Geoff Jackson, a R200 4. 1 differential with a Nismo competition limited slip. The 240z sits on some Bilstein suspension with 2¼ coil overs. It currently has 15x7j Minilite wheels with Dunlop SP sport semi slicks. A fire safety extinguisher system is fitted.
