Yamaha XJR1200
Declared Manufactured 1996, date of first registration in the UK 1997
She is a UK spec bike
I purchased her from a deceased estate, she came with no service history, no keys, only the bike and log book / v5
I purchased a new lock set, but the connecting plug for the ignition was incorrect, managed to get keys cut for the original ignition, but used the new filler cap & seat lock
She had MOT when i got her, but had only done a handful of miles, in the last 6 years, she had only covered 924 miles, feel free to check her MOT history, she now sits on 36, 030 miles and has MOT until 14/ 09/ 2024
To say she was a mess when i got her is an understatement, but i knew what i was taking on
I have been through her with a fine toothed combe, and replaced everything that was necessary
Full service, semi synth oil & filter, air filter, NGK plugs, valve clearances checked ( New rocker cover gasket & securing bolt rubbers ) carbs striped, ultrasonically cleaned, carb service kit installed, synchronised, new inlet rubbers
New "Tourmax" petrol tap service kit installed
Stainless nut & bolt kit throughout
Delkavic stainless collector box, new exhaust gaskets
New battery
New tapered headrace bearings
New front brake pads, f/ brake master cylinder repair kit, f/ brake braided lines
New rear brake pads, braided line
Clutch plates removed and checked, all within tolerances, cleaned and replaced, new gasket, Clutch braided line, new gear lever rubber
Hagon shocks, striped & checked, new springs & bushes
New paint & polishing
Z9 handlebars, purely because i find the original uncomfortable, happy to change back to original
She is totally original apart from....
Z9 Bars, braided lines, stainless collector box, white faced dials ( already on her )
I have performed a.... 95% resto on her, done everything short of taking the engine out & stripping out the electrics
I have added photos of when i first got her so you can compare
She still has some age related marks in keeping with a bike 27 years old
But a good usable classic ready to go

The price is firm, i have put a lot of time, effort & money into her
