First registered in December 2000 this Mini was one of the later cars produced. Although it has a rear window brake light and platinum roof it was not one of the last 500. According to the Mini Cooper Register is is the 731st last made Mini.
I purchased the Mini in June 2008, Bought with the intention of driving and enjoying it 3 years later I decided to commission a full professional restoration. This included replacement of affected panels and a respray in its original British Racing Green, the roof stood the test of time and is still original paint.
The engine had an overhaul, This was carried out by a local engineering company. It received a skimmed head, honed to 1293cc and a Swiftune SW5 Cam installed. With the intention of showing particular attention was spent on the engine bay. Polished Stainless Steel parts from Smiffys Bits and Billet Alloy components from DSN Classics were fitted.
The interior was reupholstered in Diamond stitching as well as an Alcantara roof cloth.
During restoration the suspension components were replaced for new including new Koni dampers and Hi-los.
The original 13x6 sportspack wheels are still with the mini which have had new tyres before the last MOT.
In my 15 years of owning the Mini it has lived in a heated garage and never been taken out in the rain. No expense has been spared in restoration or upkeep.
The only items known to me are an intermittent speedometer and a scuff on the rear passenger side arch, it must have happened at the last car show I attended in August, I only discovered it when having the photos taken for this advert. I have booked this in to get repaired for next month
It was serviced including oil change and filter replacements in July, the Mini comes with an MOT until August 2024As I never had any intention to sell my Mini I never felt restricted in my modifications, but any I have had done are tasteful and suit the car. My favourite point is the engine bay, I feel it sets it apart from any MPI I have personally seen. The Lucas 576 spot lamps are a lovely twist on the standard cooper spots, they just suit this car so well. This Mini always draws a crowd at the shows.

In my ownership it has won many prizes at local car shows and even used as my friends wedding car.
The Mini has been a big part of my life, but unfortunately with my family and work commitments I no longer have the same opportunities to enjoy it. I feel it should be enjoyed. It is show ready and drives beautifully.
