One of the last MK1s built, special Classic edition, 1 of 400 made. 1. 8 litre, 131 bhp engine with only around 85000 miles. 2x Keys, Power Steering, Black Leather seats, Tonneau Cover, 15 inch alloy wheels.

I have owned the car for 2 years, it has been kept garaged and only driven on dry days. The previous owner looked after it for 7 years.

Passed MOT in March 2024 with no advisories and there is a comprehensive folder of receipts for all of the work and regular servicing done for the car.

Bodywork:

The car is finished in Brilliant Black which remains in great condition for the age as can be seen in the pictures. It polishes up really nicely and I have taken it to several classic car shows round the country. In September 2019 the following extensive work was carried out by the MX5 Restorer in Pevensey:
-Both rear arches and sills were replaced, including inner sills, both rear quarters repainted.
-Front wheel arches replaced and repainted.
-Car received a full underseal and cavity wax including subframes and suspension arms.
-A new vinyl roof was fitted at the same time.

Mechanical:

-Starts first time with a smooth idle and power delivery. Oil and filter has been changed by Mazda main dealer in June 2023, and by previous owner every year for the 7 years he owned the car, along with spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, gearbox and diff oil when necessary. I had the gearbox oil changed by an MX5 specialist in Sept 2022.
-Full set of KYB OEM shocks and OEM springs along with drop links fitted in 2018. Full set of Genuine -Camber bolts have been fitted and 4 wheel alignment carried out so it drives straight.
-Cambelt, tensioners, water pump, front brake disks fitted in 2021.
-New rear brake disks and pads and front brake pads fitted in July 2023.
-Front and rear suspension bushes, CAS oil seal, clutch master cylinder and exhaust heat shield replaced in March 2023.
-Stainless steel exhaust back box fitted in 2023 which gives a nice deeper sound but not loud

Wheels:

The 15” alloys are unique to this special edition, and were professionally refurbished by previous owner. The alloys have 4 matching Uniroyal Rainsport tyres which are in excellent condition. The wheel centres have been restored to the original condition.

Interior:

Very good condition with black leather seats. It has the original Momo leather steering wheel. Wind deflector and chrome style bar. Period correct Sony CD player.
