Registered with the Jaguar Heritage Trust and is Chassis No. 421 on the original registration. With only 19, 000 2. 8L XJ6's produced it makes this a very rare car.
Exterior of the car is in immaculate condition with no scratches, dints or rust. I would say the car is as near as ready for a museum as it could be. Majority of the chrome parts on the car have been taken off and re-chromed. The underside has been undersealed with no holes or rust whatsoever.
Interior has been kept fully original as the exterior and is once again in immaculate condition with a new headlining in place, all wood panels have been sanded and re-lacquered and red leather seats cleaned and reconditioned. Nothing is missing!
There is the original spare wheel and tool kit present in the boot and as seen by the photos the engine bay is spotless. Similar to the exterior the chrome parts have been redone. Everything repainted that looked tatty.
Mechanically the engine has been overhauled with all new gaskets, hoses and rubbers fitted, spark plugs, oil and all filters too, meaning the engine runs perfectly, holding temperature and oil pressure over longer journeys. The whole rear subframe has been restored including bushes with photos of the process documented. Braking system including new pads, discs and lines all round. 5 brand new Michelin tyres fitted.
Has to be one of the nicest examples of this wonderful piece of British motoring history. A full binder of paperwork including invoices for all mentioned above. Even including the original operating manual and service handbook and photos of restoration.
