This 1990, XR3i Special Edition Cab has just passed its MOT with no advisories and is being used so mileage will go up. Please do not be mistaken this is a very usable on the road car that you can jump in and enjoy. The car has just had a new roof (BAS) fitted as well. I have just put a new battery (the right one for this car) on it.
###I have been using the car as its not had much use over the last couple of years and found a small leak from the water pump. So I will be putting New water pump, New Cam tensioners, New cam belt, and give it a full service for the new owner###
This is low mileage and low owner car, which is very rare. I have all the paper MOTs going back to 2003 but unfortunately nothing before then. There is no knocks, creaking or banging when you drive the car, no heavy wear on steering wheel, brake, clutch or accelerator pedals or on the gear nob which is why I believe the mileage to be true. The engine pulls well in every gear and everything works on the car like, clock, electric windows, central locking, radio and all the speakers. This car has not been messed with in anyway and is all original apart of the obvious bottom paint colour, which I can return to its silver at a cost. I haven’t done any paint work on the car because then you can see exactly what the car is like without covering anything up.
The car comes with a good history file of all works done on it and has booklets from Fords like the original stereo book with PIN CODE and even has the Ford Escort advertising booklet. The car will also come with its original keys (two sets) which even still have the plastic tag with the key code number on. It has a immobiliser (two) which is working. At sometime its has a alarm which has been removed.
This is a 1990 Escort, so onto rust. There is no rust where you would expect to see on a Escort and the car looks very good overall. There are some bits of rust that could be attended to, but nothing that needs sorting now. This is also the case inside, nothing that needs sorting but bits that would only improve that look of the car if you wanted to. The seats are all good and no fag burns anywhere. The drivers seat is showing wear but all seats work as they should.
Why am I selling, well I find myself needing a bigger car which is very unfortunate so my consider a PX cash ever way.
