It isn’t original spec, but could be put back easily with a donor car - there are plenty of fully complete but past restoring cars out there. Prices of classic fords are only going up and are selling for triple the auction estimates - tickford sierras and escort RS500’s are selling for £600, 000+ at auction and they made legions of those - see online.
These cars are even more rare - the figure mentioned for other original crayfords is £100k, so this is an investment project with serious profit at the other end.
There is no capital gains tax on classic cars so this would be a better investment than keeping cash under the bed and you get to own one of the rarest fords ever built. For the price of a new ford saloon you could own a piece of ford history - bragging rights are worth the price alone it is a very small and exclusive club.
The car as it stands could be put back together - all parts are included and will be supplied with the car including many new engine spares. It has a good working 5 speed manual gearbox and a low mileage 2 litre pinto engine which had 90 miles when fitted and has only done 6000 miles total. Original sapphire blue colour can be seen in pictures.
Car is MOT and road tax exempt - classic car insurance is very cheap. V5 present.
I would keep the car and finish it but the yard I have is being sold for housing so I have very reluctantly decided to sell it after a 40 year owner affair.
Sky is the limit on the sale price so plenty of accountable profit. It’s a no-brainer if you have cash you would like to put back onto a balance sheet as an asset. This car is a unicorn, classed as ford royalty and the historic value will only go up in the future.
