Standard Eight deluxe Standrive semi automatic. Very rare to find one of these in original mechanical order. Body is in very good condition, no rust. chassis is coated in clear waxoil, so nothing is hidden. Engine in good condition, runs OK. Interior needs some attention to headlining and carpets. Couple of buttons missing from front seats. Very rare options on this car ie: standard 8 with opening boot lid, but also has folding rear seat, so boot access from inside car. Lovely little car, make super first classic with very little work to complete. Reason for sale, we are downsizing and so, loss of storage. Consider exchange for motorcycle of similar value. Standards were the nicer post war cars that could be ordered as absolutely basic, sliding windows, no boot lid, no heater etc. so the working man could spec. his car according to his budget, or pay a little more for the extra's. This particular car has wind up windows and two tone upholstery classed as the deluxe. There is some history with the car but certainly not complete. The most useful item is the very rare Standrive manual explaining the Standrive system.
