This El Camino is very special.

It was imported to Sweden in the early import wave in the 70s, only 8 years old. In 1994 it was bought by El Camino specialist Ahls Auto Parts. Ahl drove it for a number of years, before starting a total frame-off renovation in the early 2000s!

The bar was set high. Everything was assembled down and the goal was absolutely mint. Even before the project began, Ahl had collected a lot of original parts. This during trips to the USA in the 80s and 90s, when it was still possible to find original NOS parts. The project continued and was completed for painting, but then other projects came in between and the El Camino was shelved. In May 2017, the car was finished. Ahl is pedantic, and extremely thorough! Right down to the detail level! An expert on El Caminos, his expertise is invaluable during the journey to the finished car. The end result is absolutely incredible, must see! Even on the first test drive, the car was 100% perfect. Not a vibration, not a rattle. The car lines perfectly, the steering was perfect! No readjustment was needed! Correct straight through with cable lugs, hose clamps, washers, screws, nuts and clamps.

The car was originally lime-green with green interior. But there are two times you can decide the color of a car. It's when you buy new and during a refurbishment it was decided that the car would be "Triple Black" with dark gray SS stripes on the hood. Black car with black interior, black vinyl roof and black flak cover.

The engine is the original Matching numbers 350 V8.
Refurbished TH-350 Automatic.
New Dual 2. 5″ Exhaust with chrome tailpipes.
Refurbished rear axle.

The car is equipped with Power Steering. Power Brakes. Tilt Steering Wheel. SS hood (original GM, not a re-production)
Hood pins. Black vinyl roof. Air Condition (but not connected) Tinted windows.

The body has been sanded clean. Seriously rusty, the body shop said he's never seen a better rear fender replacement. New floors and fenders. All primed and sealed. New Chrome. Original molding straightened and polished. Cleaned and varnished chassis and frame. The car looks absolutely fantastic, it's like a piece of jewelry. You can't get enough of it. Painted solid black by a recognized skilled painter. Vinyl roof installed at CH-Trim Shop, which also has a cover sewn to the bed. New Cragar S/ S Wheels with new tires. Complete new black interior. Full seat reupholstered by Magus Car interior on blasted and lacquered undercarriage. GM Reproduction SS steering wheel. Refurbished instrumentation with Km/ h scale. Refurbished dashboard. New floor mat. New ceiling. Spare wheel correctly mounted behind the passenger seat. Correct storage compartment behind the driver's seat. Retro stereo.

A long journey is over. There is so much work done that it is not possible to write everything.

The car costs SEK 395. 000, which corresponds to about 34. 000 Euro.
