This very car starred in Jeremy Clarkson DVD "Head to head" of 1999, so it has some special interest.
During my ownership in 2016 at 86k I had both head gaskets done, and just recently in 2022 at 110k a cambelt change and alternator replacement, invoices for both jobs. The current mileage is around 116k.
Mechanically the car is fine, engine purrs at idle at screams all the way to rev limiter without any hesitation. Suspension good all around, recently had new arms and ARB links at the front. Brakes good front and rear.
In the past before my ownership it's had a poor quality re-spray and ideally for the long term it would benefit from having all glass out and a decent respray. There are some small rust bubbles, minor scuffs on bumpers and a few dings, but it does not look bad if you slap wax on it and step a few paces away to view it.
As a 25 year car it does have some issues that need addressing to keep this car going for another number of years.
These 916 V6 GTVs are gaining classic car status, and at the asking price this very car is definitely a good example.
