Ford Escort XR3 in Sunburst Red - 56800 Miles - Registered Historic (42 years old) - May PX something interesting
Owned by me for 3 years and family member 3 years prior to me, stored for years prior to this.
Just prior to my ownership underwent bare metal respray with any panel repairs/ replacement as required, new braking and shocks.
In my ownership has undergone a £3k upper engine rebuild with new weber carb, manual choke conversion and cambelt. I have just purchased new Oz Racing white alloys and full stainless exhaust system (lovely engine note) new battery and starter and newly serviced.
I have spent far more than asking for this car (as we all do) I still have the fully mint refurbished clover leaf alloys available for purchase. Drives, looks and sounds very well. Large file of receipts and paperwork including the original handbook, HPI clear certificate and V5C (in my name and address), I do not have a lot of paperwork prior to family ownership to substantiate the total mileage, I have maintained this car fully and replaced anything ever needed. No silly offers, stands me too much I will just keep it.
This car is so bright in gleaming sunburst - it is very difficult to capture the colour in the sunshine so have mostly used pictures in the shade. I have some videos if you would like them on Whatsapp.
Worst bits - dash cracked above instrument cluster (I never found the elusive people that can repair) and fuel gauge not reading correctly (I just reset trip between fill ups - reads quarter on full)Registered historic vehicle meaning free TAX and MOT exempt, this vehicle turns heads and gets waves every time I take it out.
Garaged throughout the last 6 years and only run on Super Plus E5 fuel.
