It’s time for a change ….
1974 Dodge Challenger 340 5. 7lt V8
Drives beautiful and shifts as it should. Starts first time and sounds right. Exhaust Headers. Stops when it needs to. No leaks at all.
Tyres good with plenty wear left.
This is a car to drive, turnkey and enjoy. It’s not a trailer queen and has a chips and blemishes to the paint, but overall, this is a cracking vehicle, in the right colour with the right small block 340 that still has loads of grunt. Maintained by myself over my ownership with upgraded radiator, brake calipers, alternator and more.
Oil pressure at 60-70psi.
Never overheated, even in London traffic.
3 Speed Torqueflight 904.
New seats all round (passenger still original and undamaged- have new cover if needed) extra rear bench seat and spare new cover and all broken covers kept.
New headliner. New door and boot seals where needed and more to fit when needed.
Lights converted to halogen with relays.
New brakes front and back. New parking brake. Full MOOG front end - some fitted, some still to fit. New Tie-rod ends. New transmission mount. New mini starter motor to fit. Spare alternator. Spare wiper motor.
Spare rear lights and spare dash binnacle.
Spare light switches, wiper switches other bits and bobs. Spare set of Cometic rocker cover gaskets and set of Felpro rubber gaskets fitted.
New rear sway bar to fit.
Rear shackles to fit
Spare front grill “Challenger” badge. Spare “340 FourBarrel” badge. Period correct extra flush fit chrome fuel cap. Metal Superbee emblems should you fancy finding a place to put them. More stuff.
R/ T badges are just that, badges.
Original glovebox manual.
Engine workshop manual. Body and interior workshop manual.
NGK sparkplug fender work covers. MOPAR seat protectors.
More stuff than I can remember kicking about.
No matter what you park this next to, it just looks better.
This car is fun to drive and has plenty of power when needed. Great cruiser for the weekends, Brooklands meets and MoparNats.
