NOW SOLD Via Car and Classic . 2CV prepared in the style of the Sahara cars. Why?? We took it across Europe in 2022 (France to Switzerland) and used all the minor on and off road routes we could find. It was a wonderful easy trip. It was in preparation to take it to Morocco in 2024 (many 2CV's do this) which in the end did not happen as another adventure took its place and now "Camille" is rather reluctantly for sale as we go in another car adventure direction. The rear wings were professionally cut away (with proper lips on the edges) by Driving Spirit Ltd 2CV specialists with 50 yrs knowledge of 2CV care and restoration -They have done all the work and have looked after this car meticulously. Anything that needed doing they have always done. The rear wing cut aways stop any grounding on a steep assent or dip and they won't fill with sand or mud either if you get stuck. The bumpers were custom made to be super strong.
The bonnet is an original and the recessed tyre in the front is: a) An extra spare b) Gives extra weight to the front wheels for traction c) Somewhere to put a wet dirty spare if you have a puncture or d) Leave the spare at home and use the cover to bring home pungent cheese from an Eu trip.
Inside, the seats have been newly reupholstered with new seat bands and the all important headrests have been added to the frames. We have driven all day in them in superb comfort. The rear seat has been removed (available) and an impenetrable (with big padlock) steel small suitcae sized strong box was fitted in its place and bolted to the floor from inside. (5 mins to remove once opened). This allows you to leave laptops, valuables, handbags, cameras, clothing etc in the car with complete security confidence (any soft-top car is an easy choice for a thief - this one is not!). Recent new tyres all round. New MOT. Super condition (not concours of course and admired whereevere we take her). Lots of free parking given in France!

Electronic ignition. Otherwise standard and is a really lively 2CV that will keep up with any modern traffic. (Happy to demonstrate). We have driven (and still do) it extensively and it has a willing strong engine that easily coped with alpine passes and happily hummed along all day as it was designed to do. If you have driven a 2CV you'll know. If not, do try it - the gear change lever takes 10 seconds to understand, the rest is as a normal car with twice the fun feeling (nobody knows why) with the supreme comfort of a limo over British potholed roads which the 2CV was designed to cope with in the beginning.
I would like to sell it quickly to an enthusiastic person hence the low (attractive) price. It is in lovely condition, not thrashed, not beaten up, always cared for and nurtured. (PS : I need the space it occupies too!).
