First registered 4/ 5/ 72 - originally a 1600XL, the car now has a two litre pinto engine, five speed gearbox, Weber carb, and electronic ignition.
I'm selling the car on behalf of a friend who bought it in 2021, but due to ongoing health issues the car has been in dry storage for the last year and a half, and is now for sale.
It was garage serviced 10th June comprising oil & filter, plugs, fan belt, carb clean and new battery. It's running well - fast even by modern standards...
The car is solid and has had much work done by previous owners - it's certainly not immaculate, and may not appeal to purists, but it's a good usable classic.
There's not much service history, and (although exempt), the last MOT expired August 2022.
The car has been resprayed at some time, and
looks fine, but there are a few rust bubbles around the windscreen, sun roof, and bottom of the passenger door. Please study the photos.
The tyres are matching with good tread. The fuel tank looks relatively recent.
The fuel gauge isn't working - the tank sender needs attention or replacement. Also the heater isn't working.
The odometer shows 21, 320 - so probably 121, 320, but no way to verify.
