Beautiful, reliable Penny is ready for a new home! This rare 1969 VW Beetle 1500 model, with a flat windscreen, has been very well looked after in the 28 years I have had her, including her own garage! Over this time she has had more or less everything updated, replaced, painted and restored and I have a folder of receipts, invoices and MOT certificates, since she’s been mine! She now has a 1600cc engine since late 2008 and clocked 7000 miles to date. Penny is MOT and TAX exempt, but she has had a full service and MOT, so ready to jump in and go have some fun!
All work has been carried out by professional mechanics. I have hundreds of photos of major rebuild projects for reference. No expense has been spared over the years, she is a real head turner and makes you feel super special when driving her. Has a CD stereo and hidden back shelf speakers and speakers in door, rare 60s wicker front tray, original oak Mountney steering wheel, alloys, new tyres and mechanically sound with no rust. Most of the body work has been replaced or treated over the 2 resprays she has had. The last paintjob was taken down to the metal, built up in layers and ‘egg shell’ protected. Nothing needs doing to Penny, she just needs love and adventures, and that I regrettably no longer have the time for!
