The Appeal

The enduring appeal of the multi-purpose T2 ‘Splittie’ is proven by this unusual 1967 van. It was converted by the current keeper for wedding duties and is said to have been constantly popular ever since.

It’s really not hard to see why, because beyond the T2’s timeless style, it has an attractive two-tone cream and beige colour scheme and features a clever bespoke interior with a large curved bench. The layout is said to include a champagne bar. The general condition is presentable, although the vendor suggests a repaint and work to the rear bumper may be advisable.

The van is said to run and drive well, helped by a disc brake upgrade and recent brake work. Love it as a handsome example of an icon, or put it to work. Whichever you choose, we wish this 59 year old van well on its new life.
