I bought this elan in January 2022 a correct type 45 convertible, it was running and driving and in fair condition a big history file but needing a repaint in my opinion.
I had the body repainted in carnival red with correct Gold bumpers. During the body preparation I made sure that the doors were set up properly so they are flush with the body, I hate it when they are not aligned.
I had the seats and door panels re trimmed as they were a little tired.
Fitted a new screen with top tint and new seal. As usual I went further than I intended.
I rebuilt the engine, rebored with forged QED pistons and steel rods. The head is big valve and I had new valves and guides fitted. The cams are sprint spec. While the engine was out I replaced the gearbox seals and the diff pinion seal.
Replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders.

Adjustable shocks with slightly lower springs.
A nice looking great driving elan that has had a fortune spent on it.
Ready for a new owner as I just don’t have the space and have started a new project.
