the p6 has had a full restoration carried out in 2005 including changing the front end to look like a series 1 v8! the chrome is spotless and has no pitting, the interior was fully restored a few years ago, it has a rare leather steering wheel, rev counter and rear headrests which are hard to find aswell as the interior being finished in leather instead of cloth! the car also benefits from having power steering! the car itself is finished in lunar grey which suits it very well. recently the car has had a whole new ignition system including coil; points, rotor arm, ht leads and distributor cap, a new alternator, new mechanical fuel pump, new fuel hoses, four new tyres and the carburettor has been cleaned by a local garage. the car itself is very solid, in fact possibly one of the most solid p6’s around having been kept in a garage for the past 25 years, the underside has also been treated with wax-oil every few years. the car comes with extensive history, including over £3000 of invoices from the restoration in 2005, as-well as the original service book, original vehicle handbook and list of rover garages. this car has only had 3 previous owners and has been well loved and taken care of, whilst there are a few things that will need to be done to make her concourse again, it makes for an excellent show car! my favourite thing about the p6 is that the spec is so unusual and unique that it draws to people’s attention as you drive down the street or as your parked on a busy road… overall its a beautiful car to own!
