1988 Ford Escort XR3I. 1 previous owner only and the first owner garaged and owned it for 35 years. This car is totally original as it left the dealership in August 1988. Original front spotlights, original waffle front and rear rubber mats and the original supplying dealer number plates and rear window sticker. This car has all its original paintwork and has never been painted or restored. I have a full binder full of invoices , old Mot certificates and tax discs. The service book has 9 Ford stamps in from 1988 and every service sheet and invoice from the local Ford dealer and then receipts from a local garage when the use of the car slowed right down. The car has only done 100 miles in the last 20 years. Please check the MOT history online to see the mileage and MOT history, I even have the original order form from August 1988 showing the only option added which was the 14”alloy wheels.
The seats are perfect and never been shampooed so don’t have any creases or wear and the door cards are perfect and the battery tray is as new.
Just been fully valeted and detailed and looks so shiny!
This is a rare find to see a car totally original with no restoration and never had any paint.
The engine sounds like new and doesn’t have that typical tappet cvh sound. The exhaust has that lovely old school rasp too. Just had a service mot cambelt battery starter motor and a fuel pump.
Would suit a collector or enthusiast.
