Meet Woody, our 1969 RHD VW Baywindow camper.
She’s a well presented and maintained van having been cared for and professionally restored, when required, throughout her lifetime. Woody is in great condition having had metal restoration work completed and fully re-trimmed in September 2020. The underneath is solid and without any signs of corrosion.
She has always been garaged throughout our ownership and kept on a level concrete floor, helping to preserve her fantastic bodywork.
Woody starts promptly, runs well, drives well and stops well having had a full service/ checkover in August 2023. This work included full break maintenance, new Webber carb kits, fuel pipes and gear stick to make her an even smoother drive and keep her on the road for many more years to come. We have a history file full of MOT’s and receipts, including the maintenance work carried out in August 2023.
Overall, she’s a great van that’s a dream to drive with no known issues having been loved and cared for throughout our ownership. She's got the classic rock & roll bed with cream leather cushions that are in perfect condition. We've made some interior updates - such as painting and refreshing the wooden cabinets a waterproof/ wipe-down white, to lighten all of the inside up. We've also added modern black handles for a contrasting colour.
Unfortunately, due to relocating and having no garage space at the new address, we are having to re-home and pass her onto to a new loving owner. We're genuinely gutted as we've had some fantastic adventures in her and she has many more to come.

She’s a classic camper that comes with a rich history, and never fails to attract a wave or two from admirers when out and about. She puts a smile on your face and has always encouraged us to get out exploring the UK.
It's very easy to live that classic VW camper van dream with Woody - pop the back window open, pack a couple of comfy cushions (and some wine!) and lay watching the world go by.
She offers plenty of space (especially when the rock and roll bed is packed away), and comfortable living, she truly is a dream!
