The Appeal
If you're even remotely into classic cars and fancy a camper, we guarantee one of these is never far from your mind. The Type 2 has taken the cake for fame and pop-culture influence alike, a real zeitgeist smasher that continues to be as relevant now as it was over fifty years ago. The clever Westfalia conversions and simple, straightforward mechanics have kept it toe-to-toe with pop culture.
This particular late-bay Westfalia retains its original interior camping amenities including the freezer, stove, and sink, making it a functional classic that can still be enjoyed for its intended purpose.
Recently benefiting from significant mechanical investment with approximately £7,000 spent on the engine bay following an incident with a faulty carburettor, this Type 2 has also had professional welding work to address rust in the left rear quarter panel. Originally purchased as a father-son project, the restoration has stalled - but in a very good place. It's a solid, capable van that's ready and waiting to be brought up to snuff.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
✓ Buyers are responsible for vehicle collection
