Description
Sadly due to a back injury I've decided to sell my rare, one year only CB900FZ. It is a UK bike and is registered as a classic so needs no MOT or road tax and was only about £70 to insure for me.
It's a first time starter and runs and rides just like it should. I only use low or no Ethanol petrol so haven't had any carb issues.
I have the full V5 in my name and address, a lot of receipts and a file full of contemporary road tests etc. I've owned the Honda for about 18 months and was originally looking for a blue SS50 like I had when I was 16. The CB 900 was the bike I had posters of but couldn't afford the insurance back then!
I was amazed that I could now buy a super bike for the price of a moped!
The previous owners had spent a lot of time and money getting this now rare one year only model looking and riding this good. There are receipts for over £3500 and I've also had various non-standard parts put back to original where possible. I had to have the seat strap made, speedometer repaired as it wouldn't go over 40mph, various small parts powder coated and some new JIS screws and some re-plating done. The only non-standard parts I know of are the Hagon shocks which look period correct but work probably better than originals. It has engine crash bars which are easily removed if wanted. A full 4 into 2 pattern exhaust and stainless brake pipes. I do have original rubber pipes if you fancy taking your life in your hands or if it's for display only which would be a real shame. The bike is 45 years old and before my back injury I was riding it often so there are slight marks/ signs of use. Sadly I can't even get it off the main-stand at the moment let alone get it on it.
