It's with a heavy heart that I am selling my lovely Metro "Mandy". She was my first car back in 2011 and after 13 years of ownership, it's time for someone else to take over. It is a very early Metro, registered in November 1980 (shortly after the launch October 1980) with the "miniMetro" name. It is widely regarded as one of the oldest on the roads today.
It's been a reliable car for me and a fab starter classic car, super easy to work on and parts readily available. This particular example drives great, the engine is really smooth and revs freely. It's been fitted with electronic ignition, which really helps it start on the button.
Body wise it is of course a nearly 44 year old car and has some age related marks, however it hasn't suffered with the terminal rust that these are known for. It has been dry stored through my ownership. It is definitely not concourse but does present really well as a usable classic.
