I am offering for sale my 2011 Ford Focus Estate (mk 2. 5), 1. 6 Petrol, Manual, Zetec in Metallic Panther Black - 3 Owners
It is in fairly good condition for its age and drives fairly nicely. The only exterior damage to the bodywork is on the rear bumper on the passenger side which had a small bump by the previous owner who attempted a home repair so is not that tidy but not hugely noticeable. The alloy wheels are starting to bubble a bit around the nuts but there is not much kerb damage. The rear most exhaust bracket has corroded and broken however my garage tells me the exhaust is still very secure and is not going anywhere. There is the occasional groaning noise from around the rear when turning a sharp corner, it could be a wheel bearing but I am not sure. Other than that there are a few scratches/ marks etc as expected given the age/ mileage.
Interior wise it is pretty clean with no wear on any of the buttons and no tears on any of the fabric seats. There is a bit of scrape in the plastic panel on the top of the drivers side rear door card.
Unfortunately the Air-Con is currently broken. I had it re-gassed a couple of month ago and it worked for about 6 weeks, then packed up. It seems to be holding the gas however the cold air does not get to the cabin so could be the condenser/ compressor.
It has part service history. For its first year of life it was owned by someone who bought the car on the Motability scheme. The second owner (my current employer) got it in 2012 and owned it until March of this year. They sold it to me as it hadn't been getting much use since Covid however I don't have much use for an estate and prefer commuting in an Auto so want something else. It has had 7 services in the past all at Ford Dealers with its last service being in 2019 (at 78, 854 miles) which was a major one including discs and pads all round (see pictures). It has not had the cambelt/ water pump done yet. It is still on it's original clutch but still seems to have plenty of life left in it. All 4 tyres are continental with 3 of them being from around 2020 and one of them from 2024.
Since I have owned it I have polished the headlights so they are nice and clear as they can often go cloudy. I have also bought some new mats for it and refreshed the engine air filter with a factory spec Bosch one.
It has brand new front and rear number plates which are only a few months old.
It is equipped with the Ford Quick Clear heated windscreen which is excellent for quickly de-icing the windscreen during winter.
It has rear parking sensors which work as they should.
The steering wheel is leather covered with multi-function Audio controls on the column.
The rear seats fold completely flat which basically turns the car into a van.
It had a fresh battery and Bosch front and rear wipers in March 2024.
The discs and pads front and rear were replaced in 2019.
The car will come with 2 keys and all the original book packs.
The official economy is 42. 2mpg however I regularly get 45-46 with my usage meaning I can fairly easily get over 500 miles from one tank.
It has Bluetooth but only for calls, not for music.
The car is 100% original with no modifications.
The MOT runs to the 22nd March 2025.
The car has been priced to take into account the maintenance work it needs to get it up to scratch however I am open to offers.
I would be willing to do a swap deal if you have something which is automatic and roughly the same value.
