The Lancia Fulvia is a car made by the Italian manufacturer Lancia. The vehicle was built from autumn 1963 to early 1976 and is considered the successor to the Lancia Appia. Like other Lancia models after the Aurelia introduced in 1950, the Fulvia was named after a classic Roman road - here the Via Fulvia. The Fulvia was available as a Berlina (sedan) and as a coupé. In addition, as was usual with Lancia, there was a hatchback coupé designed by Carrozzeria Zagato and built in small series with the traditional name Sport.
The technical concept of the Fulvia comes from Professor Antonio Fessia, the shape of the sedan and the Fulvia coupé was designed by Pietro Castagnero in the Centro Stile at Lancia. The Lancia Fulvia Sport, based on the technical basis of the coupé, was designed by Ercole Spada at Zagato. The Lancia Fulvia was based on the larger Lancia Flavia, which appeared in autumn 1960. Both models had front-wheel drive and clear, straight lines. All Fulvia models had disc brakes, the chassis with double wishbones and transverse leaf springs at the front and a rigid axle with leaf springs, stabilizer and trailing arm at the rear ensured good roadholding.

Das Fahrzeug wurde von Herbst 1963 bis Anfang 1976 gebaut und gilt als Nachfolger der Lancia Appia. Wie andere Lancia-Modelle nach der 1950 vorgestellten Aurelia, war die Fulvia nach einer klassischen Römerstraße – hier der Via Fulvia – benannt. Die Fulvia war als Berlina (Limousine) und als Coupé erhältlich. Außerdem gab es, wie bei Lancia üblich, ein bei Carrozzeria Zagato entworfenes und in Kleinserie gebautes Fließheckcoupé mit dem traditionellen Namen Sport.
Das technische Konzept der Fulvia stammt von Professor Antonio Fessia, die Form der Limousine und des Fulvia Coupés wurde von Pietro Castagnero im Centro Stile bei Lancia entworfen. Der Lancia Fulvia Sport auf der technischen Basis des Coupés wurde bei Zagato von Ercole Spada gezeichnet. Die Lancia Fulvia basierte auf der im Herbst 1960 erschienenen, größeren Lancia Flavia. Beide Modelle hatten Frontantrieb und klare gerade Linien. Alle Fulvia-Modelle hatten Scheibenbremsen, das Fahrwerk mit Doppelquerlenkern und Querblattfeder vorn und hinten eine Starrachse mit Blattfedern, Stabilisator und Längslenker sorgte für eine gute Straßenlage.
