Hi All,
I'm selling my beloved Jan '90 240 GLE Auto Wagon, which I bought back in 2019. I think I'm only the second owner. It's only got 83, 400 miles on the clock. New MOT passed on 18/ 10/ 24.
Overall, in great nick mechanically (check the MOT history for more info), with no major issues that I know of. Interior is in great condition, with the GLE's leather seats and panels. It deserves a good warm home so that a few of the notes below can be addressed, and it can carry on running for many more years.
To note:
- The stereo has a grounding issue (it probably needs the fuse board replacing) and the interior person-facing fans have given up, but the window warming fans are functioning correctly.
- The kick down cable also stopped working a while back, but as its got an overdrive button its not been an issue and new cables need to be made bespoke.
- One front windscreen motor is making an unhappy sound.
- There are two small patches of bubbling paintwork in around the windscreen (see photos for more info) - but it hasn't got any worse in the last 6 years - and when the windscreen was replaced it was fine under the seal.
Recent works include:
- new michelin tires about 3 years ago
- a new windscreen replaced in Oct 2023, due to a chip
- a new exhaust in Oct 2023
- New sparks and spark cables both fitted this year.
