Before you get too excited, the car needs work. The heater matrix had rusted through so I've had the dash out to change it and put it all back BUT there is a leak from the junction at the firewall and I honestly have lost patience with it! So rather than scrap it I thought I've give a fellow enthusiast the chance to save her.
Good points: I've had a new windscreen fitted (by Auto Windscreens at a cost of £500) and had the wheels professionally refurbished with new Michelin tyres (also £500). So you're on to a winner ;)
Engine runs well but chugs a bit on start up. I think that's the glow plugs and there is a new set in the boot. It also has brand new headlights (Valeo, from Chevronics), indicators and foglights. There's a boot load of spares too.
Body is very solid, save for a bit of bubbling around the filler cap and bottom arch - I have shown these in the pictures. Paint is quite flat!
Sunroof works and doesn't leak. I sourced a replacement rear glass panel if you don't like the funky aerial.
Bad: Well, the leaking coolant and the rusty bits!
I'll leave the advert up for a week or so, then I'll arrange for scrapping, so if you're interested drop me a line. Obviously the car will need to be trailered away.
