Description
1989 Metro GTa. Licensed on the road now (according to How Many Left website) is now in single figures. This model had a short production run, slotting in between the end of Austin branding and the Launch of Rover liveried cars. It was essentially built to MG Turbo metro spec (albeit without the turbo) without the MG badging. This is one of the earlier ones as identified by the lower position of the fuel filler cap.
The pictures speak for themselves, this car is in very good condition both inside and out and ready to be enjoyed. Mechanically it is also excellent, and drives great. Recent work includes a new master cylinder and a full hydragas overhaul. Happy to answer any questions, please call me to discuss. Good sound metros are rare, and unfortunately it is difficult to find desireable models in this condition. Values are improving and this sport version is fun to drive, cheap to run and attracts attention everywhere it goes.
MOT until May 2026
