Bought in 2017 and restored over 5 years. MOT November 2025. 1000 miles since full restoration including a £6000 bare metal respray. Overdrive. Rust free. I'd been looking for a decent Spitfire and couldn't find one that was to my standards or orginal spec. So, I built this one! I spent a small fortune and hundreds of hours on this car with the intention of keeping it. Good luck finding a better one!
New inner, middle, outer sills, new front wings, new floorpans, rear inner arches, rust free doors, screen channels, B posts, lower A posts, new windscreen, complete interior with seats in the correct houndstooth and new foams, new seatbelts and correct wiring so warning light works, re-veneered dashboard, blue tooth stereo, complete new braking system (the lot), new clutch master and slave cylinders, new shocks and polly-bushes. Engine (already in excellent condition) received new thrust washers. Overdrive was serviced. Diff received new output bearings. Complete new exhaust. Carbs received new needles, new viton values and floats. All new water, brake and petrol pipes. Halogen headlights. 4 x new tyres.
Slight paint cracking near the lights because I made the mistake of opening the bonnet from one side only.
I've only driven it roof down on dry days. Selling because of back issue.
This is a car to be enjoyed and is show standard. It goes beautifully and makes a lovely noise!!
