With reluctance I have decided to put my Renault F4 up for sale , I’m just not getting the time to enjoy it as much as I used to.
Its very rare being a Uk registered from new , RHD model , i've only seen 1x other RHD on the years i've been attending classic car meets .
Drives lovely and has never let me down , driven regularly to keep everything moving I have also enjoyed a few trips further afield for weekends around the country and france more recently too.
Tax and MOT exempt its not MOT’d in recent years but I do like to take it to local mechanic for a check over every year or so.
Mechanically sound but as you can tell from the photos it could do with some decent paintwork (if so desired) and a bit of bodywork to tend to.,
Very practical , giraffe hatch in the roof , passenger seat folds and even has a original renault towbar .
Solid underneath , never been welded but has received quality welding workaround the windscreen surround back in 2023.
I acquired back in 2019 , it had been stood in a dry outbuilding since the mid 90’s - mileage 71, 500 approx.
The car was collected and worked on by local Renault expert here in Worthing , Paul Cunningham (mrreno139 on youtube) , who dedicated a lot of time and knowledge getting her back on the road.
List of works to get roadworthy and reliable-
Removal of tank , clean and line., + new fuel lines.
New brakes and pads all round, master cylinder.
Tyres , battery , water pump and re- cored radiator
New ignition components
Tyres x4.
New gearbox oil , engine oil and filter has been changed x5 times in my ownership.
Most recently (2024) a new clutch , check over and brakes adjusted.
I have kept where possible receipts of the work , mainly a documented list of what was done and when during the restoration and continued work once on the road. Many of the parts were found on sites such as ebay so paperwork isn’t complete.
I have also old video updates from Paul , photos and documented work on the welding around the windscreen surround .
Happy to throw in the box of spares i've acquired during ownershipto keep her running for years to come , she will be missed!
