Description
1931 Model 9 OHV
The second bike to go and this has one has just undergone a complete mechanical restoration at great expense. The bike was purchased a couple of years ago in great condition but had been stored in a museum for some time. When purchased the engine and gearbox were completely stripped with all work carried out:
New M90 piston
Rebore to suite new piston
New valve stems and valves
Re-surfaced cams
All new gearbox bearings
All new engine bearings
Rebuilt crank and conrod
Fully rebuilt magneto
New clutch corks
Rebuilt carburettor
Rebuilt oil pump
The bike started 2nd kick after restoration and runs very smoothly and quietly.
I purchased this bike as it was very genuine and original and it comes with a great deal of history with four owners from new (on it's original number).
With it's chrome tank, it looks exactly the same as the bike shown in the 1931 catalogue and really is in great condition for 94 years old.
I can provide a clip of the start-up and any details you need.
