Description

Produced from 1960 to 1967, the Lotus Seven underwent numerous improvements over its predecessor, the Series 1. In particular, it was equipped with the famous and very reliable Ford 1600 Kent crossover engine, fed by its two Weber 40 carburettors, as shown in this 1964 model. It was these models that won the Coupe des Provinces in France in 1964 and 1965. The model we are presenting is in its original condition and bears some of the scars of its use on the track. The two windscreens that protect the occupants give it an outlow or bad boy look that you can appreciate. But it's at the wheel that you'll get the best thrills, because this is still a very high-performance toy for adults. A substantial maintenance file accompanies this car (more than 20, 000 euros worth of bills since 2020). English at its origin, as it should be, this vehicle was imported into France in 1995 and took part in several seasons of the French Lotus Trophy, a worthy evocation of the Coupe des Provinces as its FFSA technical passport attests.
It has a French collector's licence for road use in accordance with the rules. It passed a technical inspection in November 2024 and has not been driven since. It has a detailed administrative status certificate with no anomalies. It was serviced by a specialist before being put up for sale (invoice on file).
