Classic Car Design presents to you the Lotus Seven Series 2 "678 LBJ"! It is a 1962 model. It came to France several decades ago and has been maintained and preserved with as many original elements as possible, a Seven in a state of rare authenticity. The car is accompanied by a file of invoices dating back nearly 30 years. The original registration book is present and records all the English owners, the first of whom was a RAF pilot... Its last French owner kept it for more than 20 years.
Outside, this car shows elements that have been restored, renovated or kept in their original state, which gives it stunning charm. The paint, which has been polished, nevertheless shows signs of wear, notably cracks on the wings, but they do not dull the car’s handsome look. All accessories are in very good condition. The car is equipped with a soft top, side-windows and a tonneau cover.
Inside, the upholstery is in very good condition. You sit on a bench seat! The dashboard is entirely original and superbly patinated and the whole instrumentation works. When you lift the carpets and the seating, you can see that the aluminium sheet metal is original.
Mechanically, it’s the small 997cc (105E) engine under the bonnet, inherited from the Ford Anglia, knowing that this little engine weighs only 430kg! It should be noted that the chassis has never been touched; it is perfectly original. The car has recently undergone a service and it runs perfectly in every respect.
