Fully restored around 10 years ago inc. full respray
I’ve owned the car since May 2022, having bought it from a mechanic friend who had owned it since 2008 and restored it himself.
The car drives beautifully, it feels tight and as it should. The bodywork gleams, having only been used in dry weather since the restoration. The interior is stunning, like stepping back into the 90s with heated leather recaros. Rare leather steering wheel. Anniversary clocks, gear lever, front fog lights etc
Comes with two keys, two alarm fobs, stacks of history and receipts.
Everything works as it should, all the electrics function correctly. All 4 tyres have lots of tread and the wheels have been refurbished. The battery was new last year and has been on a trickle charger over winter.
I have loads of spares which will go with the car:
- the original gti body kit (arch trims and bump strips)
- front and rear lights
- various engine components
- a spare wiring loom
- various window regulators
- window glass
- original red front grille
- spare parcel shelf
- spare drivers seat foam bolster (that must be rare?!)
- other bits that I can’t remember!
Points to note:
- the power steering belt is old/ worn and just starting to slip slightly. It will need replacing. Would be worth putting a cambelt on it at the same time as it was last changed in 2017, done barely any miles since but based on time it should be changed. I believe the car is priced to accordingly.
I’m sure that genuine buyers will as me questions/ want to come and see the car. I bought the car as it is in such good condition - where else can you find a mk3 with zero rust? It’s so solid.
Along side this the spec is so unlike most which are basic. Full recaro leather interior - heated, leather steering wheel, red seatbelts, chrome inner door handles, lower glovebox etc. it’s one of a kind.
