I have owned this beautiful car since 2008. It has been garaged all that time, mostly only used in the summer and under the care of Jamie Porter’s Alfa Workshop. It was subject to a major bodywork refurb and respray by the Alfa Workshop in 2019, but I’ve tried not to change anything else. The interior needs some TLC, but the seats are comfortable and it’s in good condition given its age. It comes with a hard-top which is easy to put on and take off - although it requires two people to do that. The soft top is easy to put up and down and I have the original torneau cover, which matches the seats. The engine runs beautifully. I pay about £ 350 per annum for insurance and whilst its 2 litre engine is not super economical, it is not expensive to run. It was imported to the UK in 1991 and converted to RHD by SeaKing. I am the vehicle’s 5th owner. There are 142, 000 km (88, 234 miles) on the speedo. I always loved the original Spider series and this car has been an absolute pleasure to own. Driving it is a joy and it brings pleasure to everyone who sees it. There is never a journey when you do not get a thumbs-up and a smile from someone. I am - very sadly - parting with it only because I am moving to a lefthand-driving country. I will try to buy a LHD Series 4 as soon as I can!
