Description

Fantastic example of an Alfa Romeo 156 in 2. 0JTS Veloce specification, first registered in 2003. It was supplied by Northgate Garage (Canterbury) to its first owner in March 2003, 'British Marine Managers' based in London. When it was ordered new (the original invoice is present) it was specified with a significant number of options which include - Metallic Paint, Xenon Headlights, Electric sunroof, cruise control, rear spoiler, winter and comfort packs. In 2003 it cost £21, 505. 79.

I am the 4th owner having purchased it in June '21 from the 3rd owner, an Alfa Romeo Owners Club member. It has a very comprehensive service history, supported by records in the service book and/ or invoices for work that has been carried out. It has been serviced regularly, in my ownership it has been looked after by the Alfa Workshop, Royston. In the last 6 months alone it has had new brake discs and pads (front and rear), service, cam belt, aux belt and alternator. Whilst I have owned it, it has been garaged and has covered less than 4500 miles. It has an advisory free MoT expiring in November '25. It has 4 matching Goodyear tyres, all with between 7 or 8mm tread. It has its orignal full set of books, 2 keys and original Alfa 156 floor mats. I have added a discreet 'bluetooth' adaptor to the original stereo, meaning that music can be streamed via the original head unit. All the electrics and A/ C work as they should. I have recently replaced both the locking and standard wheel bolts with new chrome items. It also has fitted rear window shades and is fitted with a ‘CAT’ back stainless steel ‘Wizard’ exhaust. The condition can be described as very good, there is a small patch of paint fade on the roof, an almost unnoticeable scuff on the rear offside bumper and a very minor crease on the boot lid, where (I imagine) one of the original boot struts failed at some point, they work now though. These are very minor points for a 22 year old Alfa Romeo and do not detract from its appearance. It drives as a 156 should, there are no creaks from the suspension, a common issue with both 156's and 147's.

I do have a small number of spares that will come with the car, which includes the original chrome grille. It is a wonderful example of a 156, with great provenance and maintenance history, it has very clearly been cherished by all of its previous owners and has wanted for nothing in my 4 years of ownership.
